Following the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana RS’s launch in Colombia, General Motors has just introduced the compact pickup’s sporty new variant in Ecuador.
The automaker’s subsidiary in Ecuador officially launched the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana RS to expand the model’s lineup in the South American country, where Chevrolet leads the automotive market and where the third-generation Montana arrived this year to inaugurate the compact pickup segment. Now, the Montana RS brings a sporty new styling package to win over more customers.
“We saw an opportunity and developed a new segment in Ecuador with the new Chevrolet Montana, a model that broke the traditional patterns in the pickup category,” said Chevrolet Brand Manager in Ecuador, Lorena Arellano. “In a world overpopulated with SUVs, we created a different proposal, which combines the versatility of a pickup with the comfort and ease of handling of an SUV. The new Montana RS is our sporty version in a unique concept,” she added.
In particular, the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana RS represents the pickup’s second trim level in Ecuador and – unlike other markets in the region – the sporty RS was introduced as the nameplate’s range-topping variant in said country. As such, the Montana RS strengthens the lineup and is positioned above the Montana Premier initially launched with a manual transmission – a first for that trim level.
In addition to the exclusive design elements and general darkened finish typical of the brand’s RS variants, the main novelty of the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana RS for the Ecuadorian market is the six-speed automatic transmission that makes it the most comfortable option for customers looking for ease of use. It maintains the 1.2L turbocharged engine with 132 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Montana RS is now available for sale in the official Chevrolet dealer network in Ecuador, further strengthening the brand’s extensive local pickup portfolio that, in addition to the entry-level Montana, includes the best-selling Chevy D-Max, the Chevy Colorado and the flagship Chevy Silverado.
